Recently, some disturbing events have been brought to light regarding two high profile members of the cartooning community regarding sexual harassment and assault allegations. The National Cartoonists Society Board of Directors would like to make it known that we take these matters extremely seriously and will act to protect our members and maintain an environment that is safe and harassment-free.
We encourage and implore those who experience or witness any such incidents to report them to members of the Board. Safety, respect, and dignity are the top priority in the personal interactions of our organization and we will tolerate no less than absolute compliance with these standards of behavior.
