NCS 2023 Reubens Auction | National Cartoonists Society

The NCS foundation is the charitable wing of the NCS which was founded in 2005 to continue the charitable and educational works that have been a hallmark of the NCS since its inception.

The auction will feature both current and vintage original art from comic books, comic strips, MAD magazine and more! To make these fantastic pieces of art available to the widest audience possible, we will be running the auction in two phases:
1. an online “proxy” auction open to collectors worldwide, followed by
2. final bidding from in-person attendees at the Reubens.

For the online portion, we are happy to be partnering with two highly-trusted online auction entities: 4C Comics and Comic Art Fans.
4C comics has been offering live stream sketch claim auctions for almost two years and donating the proceeds of these events to the NCSF. Founder Ken Carson has generously agreed to make his livestream part of this year’s Reubens event line-up.
Ken will be broadcasting live from the New Jersey hotel during the Reuben festivities. Co-hosting the live stream will be Bill Cox of Comic Art Fans. Comic Art Fans Collector Galleries and Marketplace is home to over 1 million pieces of original comic and illustration artworks – connecting over 150,000 fans and collectors to some of the world’s top comic and illustration artists.

The following pieces include art by Charlie Adlard, Sergio Aragones, Brian Basset, Jim Borgman, Amanda Conner, Gemma Correll, Dave Coverly, Brian Crane, George Wunder, Greg Evans, Chon Day, Rick Geary, Bill Griffith, Cathy Guisewite, Bill Hoest, Bill Holbrook, Lynn Johnston, Bil Keane, Rick Kirkman, Keith Knight, Peter Kuper, Bobby London, Mike Luckovich, Patrick McDonnell, Wiley Miller, Bill Morrison, Dan DeCarlo/Stan Lee, Andrew Pepoy and Gordon Purcell, Ted Slampyak, Eric Powell, Tom Richmond, Mort Drucker, John Rose, Stan Sakai, David Silverman, Ronnie Del Carmen, Joe Staton, Mark Tatulli, Ann Telnaes, Angelo Torres, Garry Trudeau, Sam Viviano, Mort Walker, Dik Browne, Wayno and more!

Scroll down to see the online gallery of works donated so far and please check back here as new items are added, and the schedule for both auctions has been announced!
