Mike Cavallaro is originally from New Jersey, where he attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art.  He has worked in the comics and animation industries since the early ‘90s. Mike’s clients include Archie Comics, BOOM! Studios, DC Comics, First Second Books, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Marvel Comics, MTV Animation, Valiant Comics, Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers Animation, and others.

Mike’s comics include Parade (with fireworks), a Will Eisner Comics Industry Award-nominee and a Young Adult Library Services Association [YALSA] “Great Graphic Novels For Teens” selection; The Life and Times of Savior 28, written by J.M. DeMatteis; Foiled and its sequel, Curses, Foiled Again, written by Jane Yolen, a Junior Library Guild selection, a 2011 YALSA “Great Graphic Novel for Teens” selection, The Graphic Novel Reporter “Best of 2010” selection, and a 2011 Amelia Bloomer Project Recommended Reading List selection; Decelerate Blue, written by Adam Rapp; and Nico Bravo And The Hound Of Hades, volume 1 of 3, from First Second Books.

Mike teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
