NANCY BEIMAN was a member of the first graduating Character Animation class at the California Institute of the Arts in 1979. She has worked as an animator, director, character designer, storyboard artist and producer in six countries.  Nancy  animated Snoopy, Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and many other characters of her own design, for feature and television productions.  Nancy is the author of two animation books:  PREPARE TO BOARD! Creating Story and Characters for Animated Features and Shorts (second edition 2012; third edition, 2017) and ANIMATED PERFORMANCE: bringing imaginary animal, human and fantasy characters to life. (Bloomsbury Press, 2015).  She taught animation masterclasses in Colorado, Singapore, Taiwan, and Sydney, Australia. Nancy taught second year Storyboard classes and mentors senior student projects in the BA Animation Program at Sheridan College, Oakville, Canada from 2008 to 2018, and retired from the college in 2022. Her new book, HOW I FINALLY GOT TO LIVE A CAT’S LIFE, was published in 2022. Nancy loves cartoons and will keep drawing them!
