INTRODUCING THE NCS MEMBER MASTERMIND
A mastermind is a peer group that provides support and suggestions for each other. Each session will focus on a topic of interest to our profession or organization. Small group conversations will culminate with a list of ideas and resources that can be shared to the whole group and to the membership at large. No specific expertise is needed and everyone is welcome: we all benefit from each other’s life experience, connections, and creativity!
Our first topic is: WHAT MAKES GOOD ART GREAT?
How do you know when your work is good? great? amazing? What do you admire in other cartoonists’ work? What criteria are “universal” versus genre, audience, or format specific? As we head into the last month of the year, and perhaps prepare to submit artwork in January for the NCS Reuben Division Awards, let’s inspire each other towards greatness! (or even amazingness!)
TO ATTEND: this is a member only event; members, please check your email (and spam folder!) for event details and the link to register for the zoom meeting or email ncs@nationalcartoonists.com if you need the invite resent.
NCS membership is open to all creative professionals who earn a substantial part of their income working in the fields of cartooning, illustration, animation and graphic storytelling. We are an organization of esteemed peers and we welcome new members!
