Personal I arrived on Earth in 1952 and grew up in Chicago, IL. Discovered comic books in 1959 and the girl of my dreams (Liz) in 1983 and have been with both ever since. I have 2 grown children, Spencer and Anna Rose and a goofy dog named Rex. I live on a lake in a small town in Michigan where I shoveled a lot of snow this last Winter. Professional I am semi-retired. I was the president of JMC Studios, Inc. (1995 - 2020), a full-service design and development studio, specializing in online content and illustration/animation. Some highlights included creating early CD_ROMS/DVDs and websites for Encyclopedia Britannica and World Book Encyclopedia (1992 - 2002). Also created hundreds of websites for various clients including IBM, The Lions Clubs International and many local Chicago businesses. My son Spencer took over the business. My comics' career began in 1977 assisting Dale Messick on the "Brenda Starr" comic strip. Other published cartooning work includes: - Comic Jazz: A Comic Art Portfolio, 1983 - Vector Comic Book, 1986 - 1987 - SIBZ Comic Strip, 1999 - 2009. Local Chicago Newspaper Strip - Future Shock Comics, 2009 - 2015. A self-syndicated strip which appeared in 25 newspapers nationwide including the Chicago Tribune Sunday Comics Page. - Wrench Comic Strip (Reuben Nominee), 2004 - Present. Appears monthly in Chief Engineer Magazine - 94 South Comic Strip, 2012 - Present.
