Arizona native literary agent, author, and former attorney and judge pro tem Lisa Aquilina, J.D., LL.M. is the publisher of the award-winning boutique Green Pieces Press. Since 2011, Green Pieces Press, a division of Green Pieces Cartoon Studio, has published nearly two dozen award-winning books ranging from cartoons and graphic novels, to travel and children’s literature. In addition to her publishing duties, Lisa is the owner of Vignetta Syndicate, a literary consulting firm providing cartoonists, illustrators, photographers, and other creative professionals a novel direction in publishing.TM Both Green Pieces Press and Vignetta Syndicate strive to promote and enhance literacy and the craft of drawing and writing through education of children and adults nationwide. Lisa is very active with the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), serving on various past editorial and publishing committees and member benefit jury, as well as editorial judge for past and current IBPA Benjamin Franklin Book Awards competitions. She served as editor and publisher of multiple annual issues of the Arizona Literary Magazine. In addition, Lisa travels the country speaking to a variety of literary organizations and groups on book publishing, marketing, and literary agency.
