ALEX SAVIUK studied at The School pf Visual Arts in NYC with renowned cartoonist and creator of THE SPIRIT, WILL EISNER. Soon after in 1977 he began is comic book career at DC COMICS penciling stories for Green Lantern, Green Arrow, The Flash, Superman, Hawkman and others and in 1986 moved on to MARVEL COMICS where he mainly drew SPIDER-MAN for 9 years in various titles. In 1997 Alex began a long run of 22 years on The AMAZING SPIDER-MAN newspaper strip with STAN LEE ending only because of Stan Lee's passing in 2018. Along the way he also drew The X-Files for TOPPS COMICS, and still draws THE PHANTOM for a Swedish publisher . In 2006, Alex received an EISNER AWARD nomination for his work in a graphic novel THE FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES, and also received a HARVEY AWARDS nomination for his work in The Amazing Spider-man newspaper strip. Alex also did advertising and film storyboards throughout his career for such films as LONELY HEARTS, HOOT, and THE REAPING. he lives in Florida with his wife and Snoopy, a bijon ball of furry fun!
