Pashur, grew up in the Music City, Nashville, TN, with no musical talent. Instead, he had a crazy amount of passion for cartooning. He would cut out a crazy amount of his favorite comic strips from the daily newspapers and beg his dad to take him to a five and dime store to buy comic books. It took a crazy amount of begging. While in high school he drew a crazy amount of caricatures at the local theme park becoming their top artist. All his money went to a crazy amount of art supplies while he studied graphic design and illustration at Memphis College of Art, and thus ate a crazy amount of ramen noodles and snack cakes. After graduating he served as art director of a planetarium for two years while doing a crazy amount of freelance humorous illustration work. Over 25 years later, he has now reinvented his cartooning and illustration style, digitally. He is constantly inspired by a crazy number of things such as the Halloween season, cryptid creatures, 80s nostalgia pop culture (cartoons, action figure, retro video games and Bazooka Joe gum wrappers) and wacky offbeat silliness. He now lives in Los Angeles working away daily on fun cartoons and colorful illustrations. Oh, and he has won a crazy amount of awards. Pashur is also a two-time NCS Division Award Nominee for Advertising and Product Illustration (2021 and 2023).
