I have been drawing cartoons since 3rd grade. I published editorial cartoons and a comic strip in my high school newspaper. I continued in college at Western Wyoming Community College where I received 1st place for Editorial Cartoon from the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Press Association in 1985. I continued to publish this strip called Knotty Woods for 4 more years at the University of Wyoming. For a year I published my current strip, "The Old Man & His Dog", on the Comic Sherpa page at GoComics. This was a site set up for non-syndicated artists. I was doing well there, over 400 subscribers, which was quite good for Comic Sherpa, when GoComics eliminated the site. From there I moved the strip to Facebook. I have been drawing this strip for over 10 years. I currently have over 7,700 followers. I also created a site on Patreon.com at the beginning of 2023 where subscribers can get coffee mugs and caricatures in my strip. Note: The main character of my strip, John, is an amateur cartoonist who draws a single panel, "Blinded By The Light". This allows me to throw in the occasional single panel strip when one comes to mind. In 2019 I enrolled in the Don Bluth University where I was trained online in traditional animation by the one and only Don Bluth. I attended a 1 week masterclass at his studio in Scottsdale Arizona where I received my diploma.
