I have been an NCS member since my association with the late Mort Walker and his studio, starting in 1987. I was primary editor of the final three NCS Albums, published in 1988, 1996 and 2005. I was NCS Membership Chair for two terms from 1997- 2001. Graduating in 1981 from Syracuse Univ. with a BFA in Illustration, I formally began my professional career in NYC with Walt Disney Productions, sold cartoons to Marvel's Crazy Magazine and various clients: Rockefeller Center, Dupont de Nemours Inc., Storyboards and character designs for Broadcast Arts and with Mort Walker/ Comicana, Inc.: various projects with comic strips Beetle Bailey, Gamin and Patches. International Museum of Cartoon Art, Newspaper Features Council, Harvey Comics, US Postal, Egmont Publishing... etc !! My upcoming book, retitled "The Life and Art of Mort Walker - A Survey of His Cartoons" is being published now by Hermes Press, available later this year.
