I'm an illustrator, painter and graphic designer. I was born into a life surrounded by art. My grandfather, Dik Browne, was an accomplished cartoonist who won two Reuben awards for his comic strips "Hi and Lois" and "Hägar the Horrible." When he passed away in 1989, my uncle Chris Browne took over "Hägar" and my dad, Chance, took over "Hi and Lois." In addition to being a gifted cartoonist, my father was also a talented painter and fine artist. Drawing and painting was part of our family's regular life. I don't remember learning how to do it, only that he taught me. While I'm still working toward becoming a professional artist for my day-to-day career, I try and create as much as I can in my free time. I love illustrating and hope to do it full-time someday, and carry on my family's legacy.
